Fall Cinema Series

The Fall Cinema Series at the Spur promises great classic movies and the stars/directors/producers that made them in a lively panel discussion after each screening with audience participation. Our debut movie is "Killer Bee's" - a documentary centered around Bridgehampton's state championship basketball team. The Cummings brothers, who directed the film, will be present for the evening. Hosted by PBS movie critic Bill McCuddy of "Talking Pictures" and the iTunes podcast "Sitting Around Talking Movies" the series will incorporate Hollywood insiders who make their summer homes in the Hamptons. McCuddy says "This is a great opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to meet two writer/producer/directors who are working on the east end. Killer Bees, produced by Shaquille O’Neal, was named Sports Illustrated doc of the year and was a New York Times Critics Pick when it debuted. Come out and meet some very talented townies. And please ask good questions. I’m really lousy at it.”
